Privacy Policy
ZenJourney (“the App”) is a travel comfort / wellness app that shows motion-synced visual cues on your phone. This policy explains what information the App uses and how it is handled.
Summary
Motion processing happens on your device. The App does not require an account, does not upload your sensor data, and does not include analytics or ads in the current version.
Information we process on your device
The App uses on-device sensors and local storage only:
- Motion sensors — accelerometer, gyroscope, and game rotation vector, processed on-device to drive the visual overlay. These readings are not transmitted off your device.
- Settings — preferences such as overlay options, cue intensity, and theme choices, stored locally with Android DataStore. There is no cloud sync or account system.
- System permissions — display-over-other-apps (overlay) and, on Android 13+, notification permission so a foreground-service notification can show while the overlay is active.
Overlay and foreground service
When you enable the overlay, ZenJourney may run a user-initiated foreground service so visual cues can appear above other apps while you travel. A persistent notification indicates that the overlay is active. The service stops when you disable the overlay.
Data sharing
In the current version (v1), the App does not collect personal data for our servers, does not sell data, and does not share data with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.
Not a medical device
ZenJourney is a comfort / wellness tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. Individual results vary.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
